An administrative ward known to produce the best politicians, Londiani ward pride itself in being among the few administrative units that have the majority of its class being young people. The race towards the hot seat in Londiani ward has just begun, and it has been dubbed as a two-horse race; between the incumbent who seems to be losing ground, and the fast-rising Honorable Ben Siele. On Saturday, Honorable Ben Siele, Londiani KNUT BEC member Ken Langat, together with the incumbent, were at Lelsotet village at a funds drive function to aid one of the members. The incumbent urged the residents and other political aspirants to desist from politics and let the leaders who were elected to execute their mandate to await the electioneering period. This, he said, amid his administration failing to finish some of the significant projects that were started, including a bridge (Kap-Mutwol) connecting the Londiani ward and Kedowa-Kimugul ward. On his part, Honorable Ben Siele urged the residents to be very careful while selecting their leaders to experience good utilization of their funds. He cited the Kap-Mutwol bridge, which is not complete yet the funds had been allocated. Numerous corruption scandals have marred the current administration, including conflict of interest and money's dishing by the incumbent, meant for development projects in the ward.

I know how tricky it is. I do understand because it wasn't easy for us too. Somehow some of us felt like we would save our parents, and in the order of priority mom the dad, whereas some claimed that they would save their children. But again, I love my wife. She is the mother of my children. If I save my children and let their mother drown or get burnt, how will my children view me? Were it not for my parents, I wouldn't be here, I also do love them. In all honesty, they would be the first ones to be saved. ...
